Our purpose

Many calculator pages return a number without explaining the assumptions behind it. WellnessCalcs pairs each tool with its formula, plain-language interpretation, worked examples, common sources of error, and reproducible test cases.

The site covers adult calorie and body-measurement estimates plus pregnancy-date arithmetic. It does not provide personal medical advice.

How the tools are built

Calculations run locally in the visitor’s browser. The current tools use published methods including the Mifflin–St Jeor BMR equation, standard adult BMI arithmetic, Navy-style circumference equations, a waist-to-height ratio, and common pregnancy-dating arithmetic.

Every calculator identifies its method, links to source material, and publishes sample inputs with expected outputs. Automated checks cover input validation, reset behavior, metric conversion, date handling, internal links, structured data, and accidental ad-code duplication.

Who publishes the content

WellnessCalcs is an independently maintained calculator project. It does not claim a medical editor, clinical credentials, or medical review. Its role is narrower: implement public formulas accurately, make assumptions visible, cite the method, test predictable cases, and correct reproducible errors.

Privacy by design

Calculator entries are processed in the browser and are not submitted to WellnessCalcs. The site uses Google Analytics and may use Google AdSense, which can use cookies and similar technologies as described in the privacy policy.

Corrections

If a formula, link, explanation, or result appears incorrect, send the page URL, inputs used, and a description through the contact page. Reproducible calculator issues receive priority.
